LPN / Medical Assistant (1)

LPN or Medical Assistant experience of 2 years is preferred for this job. Experience in dermatology is preferred. Looking to hire 1 to 2 of these candidates.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the physicians and mid-level provider in a team setting to deliver high quality patient care in an efficient and effective manner

  • Escorting patients to exam rooms

  • Preparing exam rooms for new patients after prior patients leave

  • Interviewing patients and documenting this within the electronic medical record

  • Obtaining and documenting patient vital signs

  • Obtaining and documenting medical history

  • Assisting the physicians with procedures and other patient services in the exam room

  • Providing physician instruction to patients and ensuring they have all needed prescriptions and orders provided by the physician

  • Keep an organized and functional work space by keeping exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintaining instruments, and preparing sterilization as required

  • Communicate key medical information clearly and effectively to the patient, pharmacy or other physician while maintaining the highest level of customer service

  • Be knowledgeable on all products and procedures that are offered in the office and in the spa

  • Routine medical office paperwork and/or secretarial functions such as typing and correspondence

  • Call backs to patients

  • Draw blood and render prescribed treatments as required

  • Sterilize and clean instruments

  • Fill out prior authorizations

  • Be knowledgeable on all skin care lines that are sold at the office

  • Ability to process patient rewards in such interfaces as Brilliant Distinctions and Allergan Advantage

  • SMILE and BE NICE is 100% a requirement of this job

  • Office Hours are M-F 8am to 5 pm

  • Pay based on experience

  • Production Bonus
